Actor David Carroll’s Death Attributed to AIDS

NEW YORK — David Carroll’s physician said Thursday that the singer and actor who collapsed Wednesday in a recording studio had died of complications relating to AIDS.
Carroll, 41, the original baron in the Broadway musical “Grand Hotel,” had been under treatment for the disease, said Dr. Gerald Ginsberg.
