NBC Invests in Store-Based Media Network: NBC said it had an agreement in principal to invest with Oklahoma City-based Fleming Cos. Inc. in building a “site-based” media network in stores across the country. Site-based media includes setting up TV monitors to advertise products or services. Fleming is the largest grocery wholesaler in the country. NBC and Fleming will be joined in their venture by Glen Head, N.Y.-based Silent Radio Inc. and Site Based Media Inc.
