Woman Stabbed to Death in Van Nuys

Los Angeles police on Saturday were investigating the fatal stabbing of a woman who was found in her Van Nuys apartment, authorities said.
Sgt. Robert Denton said the body of Helen Anderson, 51, was found at 6:30 p.m. Friday by a family friend and a boarder in her apartment at a complex in the 6000 block of Fulton Avenue.
Denton said the boarder thought Anderson had suffered a heart attack and called paramedics.
He said there was no indication that anything had been stolen from the apartment, and the motive for the slaying was not immediately determined.
