Philip T. Le Pore has been named president of Hughes Technical Services Co., five months after becoming vice president and general manager of the Manhattan Beach-based firm.

Previously, he was vice president and general manager of the Arlington, Tex., operations of what was then Hughes Simulation Systems Inc., with sales of $80 million and a work force of 700.

HTSC provides field support for a broad range of highly diverse projects, both governmental and commercial. It is a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft Co.
