A 16-year-old pleaded innocent to charges of murdering a Fresno State football star and his girlfriend.
Trial for Arthur Eric Phelps was scheduled July 6 in Fresno County Superior Court. Phelps, who previously was ordered tried as an adult, is charged with fatally shooting Melvin Johnson, 21, and Lisa Kelley, 19, on Jan. 2.
