From Heartburn to a Heartening Experience

Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc., maker of the antacid Maalox, has named a kindergarten teacher and a nurse the winners of its Maalox Moments Stressed by Success contest.

Alyce McMenimen, the Gloucester, Mass., teacher, said her moment occurred when she was teaching 120 students to finger-paint and 1,200 orange fingers reached out to hug her.

Peg Pitzen, a nurse at Sargento Cheese Co. in Plymouth, Wis., described in a poem the stress of her work with employees who come for tests and treatment of injuries and illnesses.
