‘Sweetheart Swindler’ Guilty in Bilking Spree

DALLAS — A man dubbed the Sweetheart Swindler was convicted of bilking about $40,000 from two girlfriends during courtships in 1985 and 1990.
Alfred Barakett faces 120 years in prison when he’s sentenced July 17.
