Judge Formally OKs Robertson Bid for UPI: A bankruptcy court judge approved television evangelist Pat Robertson’s $6-million cash offer for United Press International, and the sale is expected to be complete in mid-June, a lawyer for Robertson said. Bankruptcy Judge Francis Conrad formally certified the agreement in Montpelier, Vt., after lawyers spent two days putting to paper the bid made at a court-sponsored auction earlier this week.
