38 Killed by Blast in Ukraine Mine

LONDON — At least 38 miners were killed Tuesday in a methane gas explosion in a coal mine in the Lugansk region in eastern Ukraine, the Russian Itar-Tass news agency reported.
The agency, monitored in London, said 27 miners were hospitalized and 18 were unaccounted for.
