In response to “Weinberger Indicted in Iran-Contra Affair,” June 17:
Fact: George Bush and Ronald Reagan were in the same meeting with Caspar Weinberger when the Iran arms-for-hostages swap was allegedly given the go-ahead.
Possibility: That Ronald Reagan dozed off in mid-meeting and never heard of it.
Question: What’s George Bush’s excuse?
