CHATSWORTH : Copters Help Douse 5-Acre Brush Fire

A hillside brush fire blackened about five acres in Chatsworth on Friday before firefighters using water-carrying helicopters doused the blaze, a Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman said.
The fire near the intersection of Devonshire Street and Larwin Avenue caused no injuries and damaged no structures, Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said.
It took seven firetrucks and three helicopters to extinguish the brush fire, which was reported at about 12:40 p.m., he said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Wells said.
