Talking Turkey

I enjoyed reading something positive about Turkey (“The St. Tropez of Turkey,” Feb. 23). Author Donald Carroll aptly described conditions there in an interesting way. I am an American who lived in the Aegean area of Turkey for nearly five years with my late husband. I have many fond memories of our former home, as well as the hospitable people we knew. Living there was without question one of the great pleasures of my life.
