I disagree with Townshend on one point. I still believe that good rock music can raise people up. His music raises me up.
Rock ‘n’ roll goes to sleep occasionally, but it will never die. All good art raises people up, and like it or not, Pete, you’re good. Your music enhanced my spiritual life, and if that’s not raising people up, I don’t know what is.
