Carolco Gets Extension: Hollywood’s major talent guilds have agreed to continue talks with financially troubled Carolco Pictures for another 30 days after receiving what they termed “a substantial partial payment” of overdue residuals. The guilds, which are reportedly owed about $20 million, had threatened to file an involuntary bankruptcy petition against Carolco. The Los Angeles company is best known as the producer of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.”
