Man Kills Wife, Turns Gun on Self

ANAHEIM — A man apparently shot and killed his 19-year-old wife in an apartment complex before fatally shooting himself late Tuesday, police said.
The woman’s mother called police from the apartment manager’s phone, said Sgt. Ed Pierson, reporting that she heard a gunshot after the 36-year-old man pulled the woman into the apartment.
Both were found dead when police arrived shortly before 7:30 p.m., Pierson said. Police said they did not know what might have prompted the shooting.
Authorities did not release the names of the pair, pending notification of relatives.
Investigators recovered a gun believed used in the shooting at 1600 W. Broadway.
