Canadian Indicator Rises a Bit: Canada’s leading economic indicator rose 0.1% in May, the same as in April. It was the fifth consecutive monthly rise of 0.1% and is consistent with slow economic growth, the government agency Statistics Canada said. The index, formally the Canadian composite leading indicator, is a gauge of expected economic activity three to six months ahead.
