TRW Reorganization to Cut Up to 150 Jobs: TRW Inc. said it will reorganize its Redondo Beach-based space and defense unit beginning Jan. 1, a move that could eliminate 100 to 150 jobs. The reorganized unit will consist of three operating groups rather than the current four, and the head of each group will report directly to Joseph T. Gorman, chairman and chief executive, TRW said. Employment in the space and defense unit has declined to fewer than 22,000 from 32,000 four years ago, company spokesman Gary Klasen said. Space and defense accounted for about 39% of TRW’s 1991 sales of $7.9 billion, the company said.
