Amoco Says North Sea Gas Pipeline Is Completed: Chicago-based Amoco Corp. said a consortium in which it is involved completed laying a North Sea natural gas pipeline capable of carrying 1.4 billion cubic feet of gas a day to northern England. It said the 255-mile pipeline, which runs from the central North Sea to Teesside, England, will begin operating in April.
