FASTER! CHEAPER!The Flip Side to the Art of Animation by Floyd Norman (Get Animated! PO Box 1458, Burbank, CA 91507: $12.95, illustrated). Studio animators love to draw outrageous cartoons about their fellow-artists; animator/comic-strip artist Floyd Norman began saving his “goof drawings” when he started at Disney in 1956. Most of the material is devoted to goings-on at the Disney studios at various times, including some very funny digs at studio executives Michael Eisner and Frank Wells. The result is an amusing peek behind the scenes at the Mouse Factory, although better explanatory notes would clarify some of the inside jokes.
