KIDS’ LINE: Orange County companies have come up with some creative ways to ease the worries of working parents (D1). The pediatric nursing staff at United Western Medical Centers, in Santa Ana and Anaheim, offers a 5-month-old service called Phone Friends, which children can call during the day if they’re in trouble, lonely or just need to talk. . . . The number--open weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m.--is (714) 953-KIDS.
