DISTANT BLOOD: A lot of Republicans are bristling that Orange County developer Kathryn G. Thompson has jumped parties to support Democrat Bill Clinton for President. But it turns out that Thompson has a bit of Democratic blood anyway. . . . The “G” in her name stands for Gore, as in Al Gore. Actually, the lineage is that her grandfather is a cousin to another Gore who is a distant cousin to Al Gore. Besides, Thompson was in Clinton’s camp long before Al Gore became his running mate.
