Vinny Pazienza, nearly paralyzed in a car accident 11 months ago, said he will defend his World Boxing Assn. junior-middleweight title in December.
His promoter, Dan Duva, is working to get No. 1 contender Julio Cesar Vasquez of Argentina for a title bout in the United States.
