Alan Kulwicki drove his Ford to the pole position for the Tyson Holly Farms 400 stock car race at North Wilkesboro, N.C.
Kulwicki had a qualifying speed of 117.133 m.p.h. It was his fifth pole this season, tying him with Sterling Marlin for most on NASCAR’s Winston Cup circuit.
