New Alaska Air Route to Russia OKd: The airline said the Department of Transportation has granted it approval to offer service between Anchorage and Vladivostok, Russia. Alaska Airlines, a unit of Alaska Air Group Inc., said it is proposing two round-trip flights a week, beginning in late spring or early summer 1993. Alaska Airlines already serves two other cities in Russia’s far east--Magadan and Khabarovsk.
