Muir 55, Hoover 12--Saladin McCullough ran for 156 yards and scored four touchdowns for the host Mustangs. Muir (6-1, 2-0) scored on five of its six first-half possessions to build a 41-0 halftime lead as McCullough scored on runs of 24, one, 49 and 31 yards.

Hoover (1-6, 0-2) scored its touchdowns in the fourth quarter, taking advantage of five pass-interference calls.

Nate Dishington scored on a one-yard run and he threw a three-yard scoring pass to Marvin Toledo. Dishington completed 10 of 31 passes for 122 yards with two interceptions.
