Not So Hot: Madonna’s controversial book “Sex” may be a hot item across the country, but sales for the pop siren’s steamy new “Erotica” album are not sizzling. U.S. retailers report the album sold only an estimated 100,000 copies during its second week in the stores, causing it to drop from No. 2 to No. 4 on Billboard’s pop album chart when the trade magazine hits the newsstands Saturday. Garth Brooks’ “The Chase,” which sold about 148,000 units, will retain its grasp on the No. 1 slot, with Michael Bolton’s 124,000-selling “Timeless (The Classics)” moving to No. 2 and Eric Clapton’s 105,000-selling “Unplugged” taking No. 3.
