California IN BRIEF : YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK : Winter Weather Closes Tioga Pass

Tioga Pass Road through Yosemite National Park has closed for the winter because of snow and ice. The road, also known as California 120, is the only trans-Sierra route connecting Yosemite with the eastern Sierra Nevada. It is expected to reopen by Memorial Day. The Glacier Point Road inside the park has also closed for the winter.
