PORT HUENEME : Vehicle Crashes Into Tree; Man Hurt

A 23-year-old Port Hueneme man was in fair condition Thursday night after an accident in which he lost control of his vehicle, which hit a tree, officials said.
Juan Jose Villalpando, who remains in St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, suffered a broken arm, broken nose and broken leg in the crash, said Shannon Matlock, a nursing supervisor at St. John’s.
The accident occurred as Villalpando was driving on Channel Islands Boulevard in Port Hueneme about 2 a.m., police dispatcher Brynda Parrott said.
Port Hueneme police were still investigating the cause of the accident.
