SILENCED FAXES: Here’s some relief for those who hate getting faxed ads they didn’t want: Beginning this year, it’s against state law to send any unsolicited faxes--unless the fax also includes a toll-free number that recipients can call to say they want the faxes stopped. In one recent Orange County case, a recipient had to go to court to stop faxes from one agency.
