Bald Eagle Chick Hatches

MAITLAND, Fla. — A healthy bald eagle has hatched from an egg incubated by a pair of captive birds after the egg fell 40 feet from its nest in the wild, officials said Monday. They plan to release the chick to the wild in about a month. Such a transfer has been accomplished with other birds but not with eagles, officials said.
