Keep Dam Basin a Green Haven

Thanks for the splendid story on wildlife in the Sepulveda Basin (“Counting on a Wildlife Haven,” Valley Life, Jan. 22).

Those great color photos of the birds and the wildlife lake really expressed the essence of the place. I go there often to get away from the sameness of the city streets and shopping centers and the rumble of traffic.

The presence of this big chunk of open space in the middle of a big city is a small miracle. Let’s keep it green and open for everyone.
