Controversy Over Immigrants

Years ago you published an article by Mark Day in which he pleaded that you stop calling undocumented immigrants “illegal aliens.” When I served on the board of the Central American Refugee Center we sponsored a citywide bus poster campaign, “No Human Being Is Illegal.” Given the current need to bring people of every race and ethnic group together after the events of last April/May, isn’t it time that you stop the use of this offensive phrase?
