Lear Tapped: “All in the Family” creator Norman Lear will receive the Writers Guild of America, West’s highest award for TV writing on March 22 at the guild’s annual awards ceremony in Beverly Hills. Lear, 70, will be honored for his “frequently courageous stands on behalf of significant subject matter.”
