Ray Lavi has been named chairman and...

Ray Lavi has been named chairman and chief executive of Chalco Industries Inc., a Chatsworth company that does business under the name Dunlap, Abbott, Chalco.

Lavi, 58, succeeds Bernie Shapiro, who resigned to pursue personal interests. Jan Hizpanski remains Chalco’s president.

Chalco manufactures hydraulic parts and other equipment used primarily in the aerospace industry.
