Megastore Announced: Virgin Atlantic Airways’ owner, Richard Branson, jetted to Orange County on Thursday to announce the arrival of his Virgin Megastore, due to land in Costa Mesa this September.
The 30,000-square-foot store--a joint venture with Blockbuster Entertainment--will feature compact discs, videos, books and computer games. It is the second store of its kind in the United States, following the December debut of a Megastore in Los Angeles.
The store will be in Triangle Square, a shopping center bordered by Harbor and Newport boulevards.
