Murder, she read: Augmenting its line of literature for people who like to read books on computer screens, World Library Inc. in Garden Grove has released a collection of 171 murder and mystery stories on CD-ROM.
The material is stored on compact disks, which use the same storage technology as audio compact disk players. The disk, called “Murder, Mystery, Magic, Terror & More,” features the complete text of classic horror tales by Edgar Allan Poe and other notable mystery authors.
World Library is a privately held company founded by brothers William and Robert Hustwit in 1989. It has sold more than 100,000 CD-ROMs worldwide.
