Foothill Group Reports Rise in 1st-Quarter Profit

Foothill Group Inc., a financial services concern with executive offices in Agoura Hills and Los Angeles, said its first-quarter profit rose 2%, to $3.42 million from $3.36 million a year earlier.
Foothill attributed the earnings to growth in interest margins and recurring fees from asset management activities, which helped offset smaller gains on investments and from sales of bank loans.
