Datum Inc.: The Anaheim manufacturer of frequency and timing instruments posted net income of $8,000, or no cents a share, for the first quarter, down from $20,000, or 1 cent a share, for the like period of 1992. Sales declined 21%, to $5.8 million from $7.3 million. The 1992 period included $1.1 million in sales for two operations divested late last year.
