Curbs on Wall Street Journal Eased: Singapore said it will ease restrictions on local circulation of the Asian Wall Street Journal and let it have a resident correspondent beginning July 1. The newspaper resumed limited distribution in the island state in October, 1991, after a one-year break caused by a bitter dispute over the government’s tough press laws. A government statement said the Hong Kong-based financial daily will be allowed to increase its circulation to 5,000 copies from 3,500.
