Lewitzky Honored: Los Angeles dance pioneer Bella Lewitzky is among five artists to be awarded honorary doctoral degrees by the Juilliard School on May 21 in New York. Lewitzky, 77, joins Oregon Symphony music director James DePreist, Curtis Institute of Music director and pianist Gary Graffman, Canadian actor Christopher Plummer and philanthropist Muriel Gluck in the 1993 honors.
