Pacific Sunwear of California Inc.: The Santa Ana retailer of young men’s apparel reported a profit of $136,000, or 3 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter. That compared to earnings of $16,000, or 2 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales for the three months ended May 2 were up 22% to $10.7 million from $8.8 million.
