Guess? Chairman Acquires Cherokee Stake: Georges Marciano, who is also chief executive of clothier Guess? Inc., said he and four Marciano family trusts have acquired a 19.9% stake in Cherokee Inc. of Sunland, a woman’s apparel maker that recently emerged from bankruptcy. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Marciano said he and the trusts bought the shares between June 3 and June 11 for $3.75 to $4.375 a share.
