Letters : Feeling Safe Overseas

I am in complete agreement with recent letters commenting that Americans are frequently frightened away from foreign destinations by ominous travel advisories. I am always unhappy when I hear negative publicity about Turkey. I have visited this country several times and felt safer there than I do in Southern California.
