Joint Ventures With Chain Stores Sought: China is encouraging foreign chain store companies to set up joint ventures in the country and will make approval of such investments a priority, according to the Beijing-backed China News Service. China has approved eight joint venture enterprises to operate retail chain stores in 11 major cities, the news service said.
