LaRouche Will Get Parole in Election Fund-Raising Case

WASHINGTON — Perennial presidential candidate Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. will be paroled from federal prison Jan. 26, the U.S. Parole Commission announced Tuesday.
LaRouche, 71, was sentenced in 1989 to 15 years in prison for mail fraud and tax evasion and is serving his time at the federal correctional institution in Rochester, Minn.
The parole commission decision follows a Sept. 29 hearing. He will be under the supervision of a federal probation officer until Jan. 26, 2004.
LaRouche has run for President in each election since 1976.
