A Follow-Up on Jose Santana

In an Aug. 30 Counterpunch article, veteran film, TV and stage actor Jose Angel Santana said he had chosen to drive a taxi in Santa Barbara rather than accept the “violent and negative stereotypes” he too often was asked to play as a black actor.
Responses to Santana’s article led to several offers of auditions.
On Wednesday at 8 p.m., he will return to acting with a guest appearance on “Beverly Hills, 90210” on Channel 11. He will portray a police officer.
