McDonald’s Mulls Home-Style Restaurants: McDonald’s Corp. said it is studying the concept of a chain of sit-down restaurants that offer dinner fare such as roast chicken, meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The new chain would be called Hearth Express, according to the weekly Crain’s Chicago Business. The concept is similar to that of Boston Chicken, a fast-growing chain based in Naperville, Ill., that specializes in rotisserie-broiled chicken and home-style side dishes, said Sharon Olson, president of the Olson Group Inc., a food service consulting firm in Chicago.
