Goodyear, Union Reach Tentative Agreement: Akron, Ohio-based Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said it reached a tentative three-year contract agreement with the United Rubber Workers union four hours past the Saturday midnight deadline set by the union, which represents 12,200 Goodyear workers. Details of the new contract will not be released until it is ratified by nine union locals at other Goodyear plants.
