Mother’s Day Breakfast for Seniors

The seventh annual Young and the Wise Mother’s Day Breakfast this Saturday at Lafayette Park is a chance for civic-minded young people to serve breakfast to older folks and let them know that their contributions to the community are appreciated.
The free event begins at 8:30 a.m. on the east side of the park and is sponsored by the Wilshire Center Community Involvement Assn. with the support of several other community organizations.
Last year, youths from the Bresee Foundation Youth Center, the YWCA, and the Wilshire and Rampart Explorers served breakfast to about 300 senior citizens.
