Boland Is Skilled at Being Perfectly Unclear

* Your story on a state Assembly panel’s rejection of mandatory earthquake insurance for Californians (April 14) makes it obvious that Assemblywoman Paula L. Boland (R-Granada Hills) has mastered the art of reelection by being perfectly unclear, as her statement regarding her “no” vote on the legislation attests: “As good as this bill sounds, I also support a federal program.”

Also ? Doesn’t also imply that she voted for the state-run insurance program, when in fact she voted against it?
